Kids benefit from the independence and adventure that comes with going off to summer camp. But did you know that summer camps actually help prepare children for adulthood?
It’s true. American Camp Association studies show that the growth in self-confidence, independence, making friends, and learning new things that campers experience when away at camp are skills that are beneficial all the way through adulthood.
According to the ACA, 96% of campers surveyed said camp helped them make new friends, 93% said camp helped them get to know kids different from themselves, and 92% said the people at camp helped them feel good about themselves.
